This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to operate within the transport and logistics industry – multiskilling as a professional driver in fatigue management, vehicle inspection, route planning, load restraint and chain of responsibility.
This course can be delivered in a flexible program of classroom training and self-paced learning activities. The program runs for 12 months, including:
- 14 weeks’ workshop
- Self-directed learning.
ARC Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this course, students must:
- have completed Year 10 or equivalent;
- be 16 years old and over;
- have a minimum ACSF Level 2;
- complete a language, literacy and numeracy test;
- have work experience or is an existing worker in the TLI sector;
- have basic computing skills;
- be reasonably fit – some lifting will be required;
- must have access to a computer with an internet connection, and
- provide their USI.
Training and Assessment Activities
Assessment methods may include but are not limited to:
- Short answers, projects, reports, work placement assessments, demo / role-play
Mode of Delivery:
- Face to face
Students will be provided the following support services:
- LLN support
- Career counselling
- Assessment support
- Referral to personal counselling.

Participants will need to complete eighteen (18) units of competency, six (6) core units and twelve (12) elective units for this qualification.
