This qualification focuses on how to follow an individualised plan and provide person-centred support to carry out activities to maintain personal care and/or other activities of daily living for people in a disability care setting.
ARC Training’s entry requirements differ depending on what type of student you are:

ARC Training does not guarantee successful completion of this course or guarantee employment.
This course can be delivered via a Digital Classroom or flexible program of classroom training and self-paced learning activities. Students have up to 12 months to complete the course, including 26 weeks’ training program and self-directed learning (General Public); or approximately 47 weeks training program and self-directed learning (Existing Workers).
Please be advised that some assessments may be conducted in a simulated environment. If you are not an existing worker in the industry, the current simulation locations are Parramatta (NSW), and Wollongong (NSW).
This course also includes a work placement component (120 hours; approximately 40 hours per week) at a care facility that must be completed in order to be awarded your qualification.

In addition to the assessment methods above, students are required to commit to participating in self-directed learning throughout the duration of their studies.
Students will be provided the following support services:
There are fifteen (15) units of competency to complete, comprising of nine (9) core units and six (6) elective units of competency. Please see below for our standard CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) program.
