This qualification reflects the role of individuals to work in a business environment with a focus on administration. To develop and build a broad range of knowledge and skills to carry out a range of activities to complete fundamental business tasks and provide advice and administrative support to the team.
This course can be delivered in a flexible program of classroom training and self-paced learning activities. The program runs for 12 months, including:
- 17 weeks’ workshop
- Self-directed learning.
ARC Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this course, students must:
- have completed Year 10 or equivalent;
- be 16 years old or over;
- have a minimum ACSF Level 2;
- complete a language, literacy and numeracy test;
- have basic computing skills;
- be physically fit as lifting may be required;
- have access to a computer with an internet connection, and
- provide their USI.
Training and Assessment Activities
Assessment methods may include but are not limited to:
Short answers, projects, reports, demo / role play, portfolio

Students will be provided the following support services:
- LLN support
- Career counselling
- Assessment support
- Referral to personal counselling.
This course is delivered in New South Wales, funding may be available for eligible participants in NSW.

Participants will need to complete seven (7) core units and five (5) elective units for this qualification. Please see the next page for our standard SIR20216 Certificate II in Retail Services course.
