Good News Story:

Mariam has five children and has always been a stay-at-home mum. She knew she enjoyed looking after the elderly as she has experience looking after her mother-in-law so it was only natural she decide to take a chance and apply for an aged care course. Mariam enjoyed coming to class every week and has seen a noticeable improvement in her confidence and her ability to interact with her class has also increased week-on-week. Mariam is very proud of herself for completing her course and will be starting work placement in early March at Abel Tasman Village in Chester Hill. Mariam spoke highly of her trainer Lana for taking the time to explain questions thoroughly and has given her further motivation to apply for full-time work in this booming, rewarding industry. Mariam says, ‘this is my time’ as it’s taken her 27 years to finally dedicate time for her own career after dropping out in year 10! Well done and the best of luck to Mariam in her future career!

MariamCommunity Services Student

I did my certificate through ARC’s digital classes because as a stay at home mum, it really fit into my lifestyle. I was able to study when I wanted, where I wanted. I honestly don’t think I would have been able to get my qualification if it wasn’t for online classes.
